Last 16th ’October, La Salle celebrated successfully the first meeting of La Salle University alumni at Liceu Theatre in Barcelona. The number of assistants was around 800 alumni, 300 representatives of different business companies and more than 100 people who followed the event on Internet from different countries around the world.
The objective of the event was to introduce La Salle new project to the different parts involved in La Salle. Therefore, Ramon Ollé, president of the new Business Engineering School, made a speech explaining the present and future internationalization process of La Salle. Since, the new training programme for executives of the La Salle BES will be in 4 countries and 5 different European cities: Madrid, Paris, Amsterdam, Venice and Barcelona Ollé emphasized the great potential this institution has as an international network of resources. “Do not forget that La Salle as a global institution is present at the 5th continents, with more than 70 Universities worldwide”.
During the event, there were also speeches by the General Director of Barcelona Campus, Brother Miquel Àngel Barrabeig, by the President of La Salle Alumni Association, Ramon Sangrà, and by the Provincial Representative of La Salle in Catalonia, brother Josep Martí. The event concluded with a great conference given by an expert of the e-learning, Dr. Roger Schank, and finally, with the performance of a jazz band“La Locomotora Negra”, together with the voice of Big Mama, who studied in La Salle Campus.
